A few months ago my friend asked if I would be interested in writing a piece for . I was surprised she thought of me, and to be honest, a little nervous. Nervous because I write like I talk and I’m not sure that’s for everyone 😆

But here we are and I’ve written something I think is fun and hopefully helpful!

☀️Good morning☀️

I have such mixed feelings writing this post. After lots of talking it over, I’ve decided to take a break from weddings. It’s something I have been thinking about for some time.

Since having Dragon Bob, my ability to respond to emails went from 100% to probably 10. So if you’ve contacted me and I haven’t responded, you have my sincerest apologies. Between two Bobs, 3 dogs and a husband who owns a commercial fishing company, I was overwhelmed to say the least.

I will still be working in skincare and makeup, just in a different capacity. I will miss this chapter, 10 years in this industry has been a gift. I’ve had clients and vendors become lifelong friends. But for now it’s what’s best for my family. Bobs only stay little so long and I don’t want to miss a thing. I mean, they’re yelling at me to go “SIDE” right now. What’s not to love 😉

Things you may or may not know about me:

I work with a company called LimeLife by Alcone. I loved their makeup products, I carried them in my kit long before joining the company as a beauty guide. And I’ve since fallen in love with their skincare line. It’s natural, leaping bunny certified and Forty Cure Crème was the only thing that made my skin NOT feel like sand paper after having our daughter. And I tried everything, I mean EVERYTHING 🧴🧴🧴

So why am I telling you this??? Just because wedding season will be short around here this year, doesn’t mean the makeup and skincare has to stop!

What are you using this winter to fight that dry skin? I’m sticking to Forty Cure Crème and I’m also attempting to make my first at home body butter! Stay tuned 👩🏻‍🔬🤞🏻

Hi hi beauties! It’s only been forever since I posted BUT I have a good reason. We’re expecting our second two legged kid this coming June!!!

This means 2 things...

1. I’m a million years behind on messages and I’m so sorry if you’ve sent me anything in the last 2 months. I’m chipping away at them slowly. Growing a human and chasing a 12 month old makes you 😴

And 2. Unfortunately I won’t be taking weddings until September 2019. I still have a couple dates left so message me and I promise I’ll get back to you soon!

Tomorrow is my last wedding for the 2018 season. Is it early to be finished? Sure is. Am I a little sad it’s over so soon? You betcha.
But I decided to take fewer weddings this season to focus on family and because I wasn’t so sure how sleepless the nights would be with a new baby.

We’ll be back at it full force next season (if I can only get to all those emails 🤦🏻‍♀️ thank you again for all your patience 😘)!

Ok. Enough about me. Can we just talk for a minute about what a gorgeous bride Sophie was at her August wedding?! She was so sweet, fun and didn’t let the monsoon that came through bother her a bit!

I haven’t done this in a while, or maybe ever, but since we’ve got some new faces around here I figured I’d do a little introduction!

Hi 👋🏼 I’m Stacia! Your local Maine makeup artist/crazy dog lady/girl Mom. I’ve been in the industry for 8 years now (wow that sounds like a long time when I write it down 😳).

I have the absolute best clients who put up with me even when it takes me 3 weeks to answer an email 🤦🏻‍♀️

I love everything about living in Maine...yes, even the winter 🌊☀️❄️🌲😉

I have 3 giant fur kids and a small baby Dragon who looks exactly like her dad, but she likes the makeup brushes as much as I do (and she’s already got great brows 🤨👌🏻) so I’m 100% she’s my kid!

When the forecast calls for fog and rain on your wedding day, you use the extra, extra hold hair spray and head outside for photos anyway!

I’m not sure Wen could have been any more gorgeous(or any sweeter)on her wedding day! And I love a good foggy wedding day, especially when it’s on an island in Casco Bay ☁️☁️☁️
