Today would have been my dad’s 60th birthday!

A few years ago he surprised me at work on HIS birthday and brought ME flowers!!!

That’s just the kind of man he was. Always thinking of others, always supportive, always loving to be around friends and family, and always wanting to put a smile on everyone’s face. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of his corny jokes or contagious laugh. I miss him very much and am forever grateful I got the opportunity to be his daughter.

Thank you to everyone who came out this weekend to celebrate his life and remember his love. 💙

📚 Story Time
This is Daniel, a new client of mine who came in with previously balayaged hair (of course I forgot to snap a before pic! 🤦‍♀️) and a lot of nerves around getting back to the perfect natural hair color. It was clear Daniel had some bad experiences in the past. We started at a level 9, and although I had zero nerves about the outcome, I was sensitive to the fact that Daniel did, and thankful that they expressed this to me, so we could talk through it.
At the end of our appointment Daniel told me he could cry, not only because he was happy and relieved about the hair color, (grab your tissue!) but also because they finally had their hair long and beautiful, which was never acceptable for them as a child. 🥺
This resonated with me on such a deep level and I’m so thankful to have experienced this evolution with Daniel.
As hair stylists, we get the opportunity to do so much more than pretty hair! 💙
