Optimistic Soap

When Skye Perryman s team offered to send me a copy of her book, “Ordinary People, Extraordinary Times,” I was a full-throated: “Hell yes!”

I’d been meaning to purchase it myself anyway. Anyone who follows me knows that I’m a huge fan of Democracy Forward ’s work (I’m donating $1 for every bar of soap I sell in October to them).

I had high expectations for a book subtitled “How to Reclaim Your Power, Fight for Freedom & Reimagine Democracy” and… I gotta say… it did not disappoint.

If you, like me, have had moments of despair for this country but realize that the best way forward is with collective action, then I think you’ll appreciate so much about this very readable, very practical how-to book.
