It is with immense love, gratitude, a bit of selfish sadness, and excitement that we bid Aiyla farewell as she moves to CA to be closer to family.

I truly had no idea that i would be welcoming such an amazing person in my life when I taught Aiyla her first sugar certification class in 2019. We instantly got along, and her warm, welcoming personality has been a constant since we’ve met is what makes her such an amazing sugarist, coworker, and friend.

We love you so much Aiyla and cant wait to hear of your new adventures!

It has been one of my greatest joys to be a part of the Pretty Sweet Team over the last 5 years.
Thank you to all of my clients for trusting in me and tolerating my yapping. You’ve all been a part of making this the best job ever. I think that if parallel universes exist that many of you are currently my dearest friends. If reincarnation is real then many of you have already been my friends and family or will be in another life.
Learning to sugar and doing it well has been one of my greatest accomplishments. In all honesty I never felt like I was much good at anything until learning to sugar. I have so much gratitude in my heart for Kyle’s unwavering support and belief in me to master this craft…. I’m crying now so I need to pull myself together before I continue writing…. I truly wish everyone had a Kyle in their corner rooting for them.

As my 10 year stay in Oregon comes to an end I’m reminded of a quote…. Just kidding, I don’t know any quotes.
I love you all and will miss you ❤️ And who knows, maybe the universe will bring me back to Portland because it’s too damn hot in my hometown. Also, pray for me that my future clients are even half as wonderful as you guys.

Kyle is back July 18th so that will open up a few things but summer gets busy, so snag your appointment now.

We don’t pad our schedules, what is there is what’s available. All appointments are listed online and you must book online, calls and texts are usually returned at end of day. Any day of opening is listed up to 4 hours before appointment time so is you’re crossing fingers and nabbing a last minute opening, head online night before or morning of depending on what you’re looking for.

We also have an online waitlist that will alert you when something that you want opened up! 🙌

Vanessa spent over 5 years as a hairstylist before discovering her love for sugaring. She worked in Seattle as a sugarist for over a year before moving to Portland and getting her esthetics license.

She loves the gentle yet dramatic effect that sugaring has on the skin, and how it leaves it supple, soft, and exfoliated. She loves to help bring confidence to someone by helping them feel more comfortable in their own skin.

When she’s not slinging sugar she loves to be out on the town trying new restaurants and cuisines, aor you can find her out playing in the park with her two dogs Maya and Finn.

Vanessa will be taking appointments Thursdays-Saturdays and she hopes to see in the near future for an appointment!
