Hello friends! I hope you’re hanging in there. It’s been.. a time, and if I’m speaking openly, after doing my quarterly and yearly reports, I’ve realized I’ve absorbed a lot of rising costs since my last price increase in 2024. I always aim to keep my prices reasonable, and while I still accept tips- I would much rather see you on a consistent basis than receive gratuity. I also understand there are a lot of things in life that can get in the way of esthetic services, and I never want you to feel guilt or shame about that. I’ll just be excited to see you when the stars align ✨

These price increases will be in effect for all appointments booked after April 1st.

With these changes also comes a change in my schedule, also beginning April 1st, I will no longer be taking appointments on Thursdays. There may be some exceptions to this, but if I am to stay in this career long term (and I very much plan to) I need to prioritize taking gooooood care of my body and mind and spirit. New schedule is: Monday: 11-7 Wednesday: 10-6 Friday: 10-6 Saturday: 10-4.

If you’re new here, my name is Emma and I own La Muse Spa in downtown Portland! I’ve been licensed since 2016, and have been running La Muse since 2020. I offer full body waxing, lash lifts, brow tinting and waxing, custom blended facials, superficial chemical peels, and dermaplaning. Instead of specializing in one type of service, my specialty is stacking services to provide the most comprehensive self care possible 🫶

From the jump, being fully inclusive has been a huge priority in my business. I understand many people have been made to feel judged, mocked, or disrespected in the beauty space for their race, sexuality/gender identity, size, disability, or any other reason and I never ever ever want people to feel that way in my care. I also understand that the trust my clients so generously give to me is earned at EVERY appointment, not just the first one.

About me as a human: I love art, animals (the weirder the better), concerts, tattoos, the most unfunny puns possible, my wonderful friends, my incredibly supportive mans, and this life I’ve built for myself since moving here in 2020.

These pictures were taken 6 months and 6 treatments apart, we’ve been doing mandelic acne peels (no actual peeling required!) and slight changes to her skin care routine. I always try to keep expectations low with acne because there can be so many factors but her skin really really responded so beautifully. I LOVE clearing acne because it can affect our self esteem so much, and watching people’s confidence and spark come back is one of my favorite things on the planet 🫶
