He attended medical school at the University of Michigan and completed his general su
rgery residency at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and his plastic surgery fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center in New York. A major emphasis of his career has been the practice of aesthetic surgery. Dr. Bensimon has been recognized for his expertise giving over 130 presentations and has been sought out as an educator in the United States and throughout the world including Canada, Belgium, Holland, Mexico, Switzerland, Germany, Mexico, Singapore, Spain, South Korea, Thailand, Turkey and Australia. A particular passion has been the advancement and dissemination of deep chemical peeling as a basis for facial rejuvenation. He has been a vocal advocate for the advancement of chemical peeling as a viable alternative to ineffective and expensive machinery. Dr. Bensimon has published in peer reviewed journals and contributed to multiple educational textbooks translated into several languages. He has participated in live surgery workshops in United States, Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Holland, Mexico, and Spain. He is particularly proud to be a faculty member of the Mendelson Advanced Facial Anatomy Course ( MAFAC ), the premiere anatomy cadaver course for surgeons.
