My business, Silkface, is hosting a Clothing Swap on Small Business Saturday November 29th. Donations of clean clothing for all genders and sizes are needed. You are welcome to browse for free treasures before remaining clothing is donated to charity.

I’ve been mothering for 40 years, and my youngest (my surprise baby in my 40’s) just graduated high school. People ask me if I’m sad. No! I’m excited to see both of us gain our independence and talk about our goals and dreams and try new things. I completely trust her to cultivate a life that is self actualized and abundant with meaning and adventure. Of all my kids, she’s the one who calls the most and wants to do things together and will ask for advice. And I ask her opinions and she often surprises me with her ideas and fresh perspective. I’m in my 60’s and can’t imagine not working, as more of my friends retire. I love my skin care practice and have joy in my work. Dance lessons, game nights with friends, going to the gym, spending time with my dogs, camping, kayaking, traveling, snowboarding in the winter, dinner parties or brunch…honestly I’m looking forward to all of it and more. I’ve had some challenges the last several years with chronic migraines, and through a combination of therapies and healing my gut I feel better than I have in years.
