As women, we ask ourselves a thousand questions every single day…

Am I doing enough?
Am I doing too much?
Do I work too much… or not enough?
Am I spending enough time with my family?
Am I too fat? Too skinny? Too much? Not enough?

Somehow, we become our own biggest bully.

I recently watched a video that asked women to look at a childhood photo of themselves and say all of those harsh things out loud to that little girl.

And I couldn’t.

Because when I look at my younger self, I don’t see someone who wasn’t enough. I see a little girl who needed reassurance.

I would tell her:
“You’re going to be okay.”
“You’re stronger than you think.”
“You don’t have to earn your worth.”
“You are enough.”

So why is it easier to give kindness to the younger version of ourselves than the woman we are today?

Maybe we should start talking to ourselves the way we would talk to that little girl.

Maybe we’ve been enough this whole time. 🤍
