So its been a wild week at the salon, on Tuesday morning I came in to see a memo from the realty company that we wouldn’t have water for the day. Something had gone wrong with a sewage pipe and they had to shut the water off for most of the day, which meant that I had to reschedule more of my clients for the day. Then this morning I opened the back door and heard water running….. oh no! One of the hoses on the back of one of the shampoo sinks had burst. There was water shooting out across the salon and there was over an inch of water on the floor. I called the Sawyer Realty and they sent someone over right away to shut off the water. They then proceeded to use a shop vac to get all the water up off the floor, and they brought tons of fans to help everything dry up. My husband left work and came up to start to fix the sink for me, and will be back up later with a few dehumidifiers to help dry things out. I could be grumpy about all the bad luck this week, but instead I am just super grateful to all the people who were so helpful in getting things fixed. I am also super grateful for all of my clients who have been extremely understanding during all of this. Not one person gave me a hard time about having to reschedule on such short notice. Sometimes its takes a little bit of bad luck to remind us how lucky we actually are!!!

Hello to all of our wonderful clients. Thank you so much for all of your love and support during these difficult times. Although salons are considered "stage one" in re-opening the state, there are many rules and regulations that will have to be followed that have not been announced yet. We are working very hard in order to open as quickly and safely as we can, while keeping you and ourselves safe. We thank you for your patience while we reach out to reschedule all our missed appointments. We miss you all, and can't wait to see you again soon!!!!!

Here at East Edge Salon, our clients are our family. Your health and well-being are extremely important to us. And while we always work hard to keep the salon clean, we want to take a moment to let you know the extra measures we are taking to help keep you safe over the next several weeks.

-On Wednesday (3/18) we will shut the salon down completely and do a deep clean. Disinfecting all surfaces.

-We will reopen for regular business on Thursday.

-Every evening we will stay after hours to do daily deep cleans and again disinfect all surfaces.

-We always wash our hands between clients and as needed during your visit.

At this time we do plan to stay open for regular business hours after our deep clean shut down on Wednesday. We will monitor the situation in Maine and alert clients should that change.

We ask all of our clients to please call us to reschedule if you feel ill in any way. Please help us keep everyone safe.

We know this is a confusing and scary time for everyone. We are doing everything we can to make sure you feel safe visiting us at East Edge Salon. Please reach out if you have any questions.
