On 9/16 the Albertina Kerr Program had a catastrophic fire. Their group home caught fire and was deemed a total loss. There are 5 teenage girls that lived in that home that have lost everything besides the clothes they had on. These are children that do not have much to begin with. To say this event was devastating is not even the right words. This was their home and the only stability they have ever known.

From 9/20-9/24 Mint Beauty Lounge will be collecting donations for the girls.

They cannot accept cash however, they can accept gift cards, new make up/hygiene products and new and second hand clothing. If you can imagine 5 teenage girls and all the things a typical teenage girl would have.

I’m so excited for the next adventure I’m my career! Thank you to my salon family and clients for the love and support as I take on my new role as salon owner!

✨ I loved getting to pamper these 3 beauties last week before their proms and graduations. One of my favorite parts of my job is getting and to be part of the special milestones. Two of these girls have been sitting in my chair since they were in elementary school!✨

⭐️The news from the CDC has got me feeling excited and hopeful for getting back to normal soon!
❗️However, the salon still has a mask mandate. I will keep you updated for when that may change.

❓Did you know that hair extensions aren’t just for having long hair?!
My guest here just wanted volume and fullness, so one row of hand tied extensions did the trick! I love the instant gratification from an hour and 15 minute hair appointment. 🥰

I’m loovvvving this transformation on Megan! The richness and shine is stunning on her!

🌟I know that the governor’s new guidelines have everyone feeling a little uneasy. No need to worry, the salon is still OPEN! We have done such an amazing job (pats everyone on the back) with keeping the salon safe, that the new guidelines don’t even change how we are operating, because we have already been going above and beyond! The safety of our guests and one another is our top priority, along with amazing hair, as always! 💁🏼‍♀️

❗️TODAY only❗️The gals at MINT BEAUTY are issuing you (if you are not impacted by fires) a challenge: Fill FOR Firefighters! Help us gather some supplies they need!❤️

➡️Find this sign in the back of a black truck in the parking lot. Let’s fill the EXTENDED bed of this truck (we also have mini vans, suburbans, etc let’s fill ‘em all!) for our firefighters! 9—>4:00 Sept 11, a fitting day to give our appreciation to firefighters!!!

The biggest need is for those on the front lines in Clack Co. It’s been unsafe to drop supplies but our contact is hoping to be able to drop tomorrow or Saturday. Hence this one day challenge! All extras will be used for any of the fire fighters or displaced families.

What’s needed?
-cases of water bottles
-cases of Gatorade
-toiletries (for displaced families &/or fire fighters)
-individually wrapped snacks: examples protein bars or jerky
-thank you cards or handmade pictures
