Normally we wouldn’t post about people’s “bad” reviews but this one we just have to clarify because it’s 90% not true!

So yesterday a lady called and asked how much our gel manicure and pedicure was. The person who answered said $83, which is correct. By a little after 6pm she comes in wanting a mani and pedi. We get the chair ready for her. And as the person who was doing her pedicure asked her if so wanted a manicure. She replied yes but then explained what she wanted which actually was a full set of acrylic nails. Big difference! She said she want tips put on and a French manicure look. We asked several times on exactly what she wanted done. We told her that would cost $55. She said okay. She did not asked why the price difference then what was told over the phone, so we did not question whether she had the money or not.

By the time she was done with her pedicure the other remaining customers had already left. At that time it was 7pm, we asked her if she could pay before starting her nails so we could close the credit card machine. She came up to the reception desk. Saw the total and asked us, how much everything was. After we told her she inserted her card in the machine. The card got declined not once but twice. She calls her boyfriend/husband and told him we charged her more than what was told over the phone. We explained to her when she asked over the phone she said gel manicure but when coming in she wanted acrylics so yes the price is different.

We stood there waiting for her to figure out payment. She never asked if she could pay on 2 separate cards or if her boyfriend could pay over the phone. Which both we could’ve done. Instead she said she didn’t have enough and that she wouldn’t have her nails done. She paid for her pedicure and left. We were not rude to her and there was no one in the salon beside her and our team, to have spoken in a rudely manner and embarrass her in front of others! Our nail terms is not different then any other Asian or American nails salon!

And as for, us telling things like that happen all the time. As in when they call asking in asking the price of a manicure but once coming in the want a full set of acrylics. Yes, there is a difference between the two and of course the price will be different. For example, our base price for a full set of acrylics is $50 but then that person is wanting medium to long coffin/almond shaped nails. The price will be different because it will take us a little longer to do. Same thing goes for our fills! You might come in with a couple broken nails or you want the shaped to be changed, the price will not be our base price. So, please when you call for prices bring extra money in case situation like this happens.
