This service is dread-fully time consuming, but delivers the most gorgeous results. This required 24 hours in the chair - typically broken into 3 services. I ordered 3 different shades of human hair and dreaded it in with her natural hair to add length, color dimension and ultimate badassery. It’s a word. ☠️

Total transparency for anyone interested - these custom services carry a higher price. You don’t get more custom than having the locks made on you, while you’re in the chair. These services can range between approx $1500-$2000.

Color services like blonding and lightening your hair color can affect your curl texture. Just like straightening and using hot tools can relax your curls. If having your curls be poppin is a priority for you, make sure you’re talking to your stylist about options to minimize damage, less frequent blonding service options, or helping transition your color to something less damaging. 🙏🏻

It’s uhhhhmazing what I’ve found helps curls receive moisture and hydration. Would you believe that it’s not a magic oil? The secret is making sure your hair can ✨ RECEIVE ✨ moisture in the first place.

Heavy oil products with coconut oil, shea butters or silicones will cause your hair to repel water and anything hydrating for your hair. Over time these products will build up and actually dryyyy out your hair. I know - that’s crazy right?

Why are the majority of curly products on the shelf promoting these oils? A severe lack of understanding what hydrates our curly hair for sure. And mayyybe there’s a conspiracy to have you buy more hydrating products, to help fix the problems their products cause. Sounds like a money maker to me 🤷🏽‍♀️ but I could be wrong 😜

After brushing out and cutting off his dreads, my client found lots of curls! He wanted to see if we could find a more modern cut to show them off and create more fullness. After almost 8-9 years dreads, I have to say his hair looked really happy and healthy!

I love that my speciality brings me clients of all textures, ages, ethnicities, genders and curl experience levels. No one client is ever the same. No one cut is the same. My care advice looks different for each client as well. I do my best to tailor your curl experience to you and your unique hair needs and lifestyle.

Every time I have a little curly headed sugar in my chair, I feel so excited and full of hope for their self love journey. So many young curlies don’t feel like they fit in, don’t feel confident, feel helpless with their curls. I know because I went through it myself. I felt like I needed to straighten or tie up my hair to feel better about myself. Wanting to help break that cycle, was one of my biggest drivers to start doing hair. If I could help even just a handful of curly cuties see how absolutely beautiful their natural hair is, and show them the magic power curly hair gifts them - then I knew I had to try. To this day, youth curly cuts fill my cup more than anything. Empowering them to love themselves and empowering parents to feel more confident and supported. That’s why I love my craft.

So many of us struggle with tiny tangles that quickly grow into big knots. I know it can be tempting to cut these little babies out sometimes, but eventually it will show. If your curls feel like they start to knot and tangle almost immediately, you may need to change your products, styling routine, how you sleep with your hair, or maybe your ends are breaking and overdue for a cut. I know it seems too early to be bringing up holiday preparations. I typically have clients start reserving their holiday appointments now through the fall. In previous years I’ve seen a large influx of cancellations during December and January. So many, that it has impacted my income significantly. Just trying to encourage everyone to book intentionally. Thank you for your understanding🙏🏻

If you schedule a service online for December or January I will reach out to receive your deposit. If not received within 24 hours, your appointment will be cancelled. When booking in the salon, you are welcome to pay deposit then.

Deposits will be $25 per hour scheduled.
Example: $25 / 1 hour - $75 / 3 hours

All paid amounts will be put towards your scheduled appointment or forfeited in the case of needing to cancel/reschedule. No shows and cancellations with less than 24 hours notice, will still be accountable for paying any remaining cancellation fees, if they are higher than your deposit.
