I have always been curious about the soap making process but I’m not going to lie, handling lye, was super intimidating. Color is one of my favorite parts of soapmaking

Creativity doesn’t always look like a finished masterpiece.
Sometimes it’s a mess on the table, ideas scribbled on scraps of paper, trying something new just to see what happens.
Being creative is giving yourself permission to play, to experiment, to fail, and to try again. It’s finding joy in the process—not just the outcome.

As my career has grown and life has gotten busier, soapmaking has become harder to fit in. Finding the right balance hasn’t always been easy.
Many mornings I would think about my business, and for a while, I truly believed I might need to close my “doors.”
While sitting with that decision one day, I logged into my website admin and started reviewing my pages. Almost instantly, I was taken back through the journey—
the recipes I've created, people I’ve met,
the communities I’ve visited,
setting up shop at markets just hoping to sell one bar,
and the overwhelming support I felt as I packed up with less product than I came with after each market --- or even going about my day and getting a notification on my phone that someone had just placed an order on my website.
Those out-of-the-blue reminders, and the pure gratitude I’ve felt, have made all the difference.
That moment made the decision clear.
I’m keeping my small-batch soap company open.
Now I even have some little hands helping me, and I’m so excited to begin sharing her creations alongside mine.
I believe in my product. Even after three years, I can pull out a bar I made in Pocatello and it still bubbles beautifully, cleans effectively, and doesn’t harm my skin. I know exactly what goes into every bar—and what stays out.
They say soap is like wine: the longer it sits, the better it gets.
