Let’s normalize real skin.
Real skin has pores. Texture. Pigment. Fine lines. Laxity. Asymmetry. It moves when we move and changes with lighting, expression and age.
The photo on the left is my skin, unfiltered. The photo on the right is the exact same skin edited to look “flawless.”
And honestly? That difference is worth talking about.
Perception drift happens when we see filtered, edited and highly curated images so often that they slowly become our reference point for what skin is “supposed” to look like.
Then completely normal skin starts looking like something that needs to be fixed.
I’m all for skincare, treatments and taking care of your skin. But there’s a difference between enhancing what you have and feeling like your natural skin is somehow not good enough.
Your skin is allowed to look like skin. 🤍
Let’s keep the treatments, the skincare, the glow and lose the expectation of porcelain.
