Christmas Toy Drive at Alli's Hair Chair

As many of you know, I went to Columbia earlier this year in support of a non profit called Impact Others. Impact Others helps to bring much needed food, supplies, water, and work to communities all over the globe. From helping to feed families in Columbia, building wells for fresh water in Africa, or building sewing centers for the women in Guadalajara, Impact Others is a World wide organization focusing on assisting those in need.

This Holiday season I am blessed to be able to partner with this amazing organization in assisting with its first annual Christmas Toy Drive called Project Dakota. Impact Other's founder, Eddie Wilson, endured the heartbreaking loss of his younger brother Dakota from a rare degenerative disease when Dakota was 18 years old. He was diagnosed with the disease at a very early age and lived his life needing full time care. Eddie expressed immense sadness when recounting how people would often either stare blankly at Dakota, or look away out of discomfort when he was out and about in his wheel chair in public. "Dakota was the purest for of love and it broke my heart to see how easily he could be dismissed and disregarded by others", said Eddie. Although Dakota had a loving family who cherished him until his last breath and he never felt a lack of love or wanted for anything, Eddie was very aware that there are millions of children out there that do not have this same experience and are disregarded and feel unloved every single day.

Project Dakota was created in honor or Eddie's brother and the first annual toy drive was born! With ambassadors in many major cities across the the united states, our hope is to provide Christmas morning to over 18,000 children at Impact Others partnering cites across the globe.

Here is where you come in! So many of my family, friends, and clients have expressed a desire to help someone in need this holiday season and now you can! From now until December 9th, I will be accepting donations in either cash form or a physical toy to support this amazing cause. If you would like to donate to Project Dakota this year and help a child experience their own Christmas morning, please follow the instructions below!

Toy Donation:
- Please bring an unwrapped gift for a child between the ages of 6-10 of any size to my salon, Alli's Hair Chair. Business hours are preferred however if you are unable to drop off the toy during those times, feel free to message me and I will instruct you on how to gain access to the building so that you can drop off the toy inside my salon suite safely.

Cash Donation:
-If you are unable to bring a toy and still want to help this wonderful cause, scan the QR code to donate the amount of your choosing. All donations go straight to Impact Others and are tax deductible as Impact Others is a 5013c.

I’m so excited to share that I am moving to a new salon suite just down the street starting February 18th! Don’t worry, it’s still super convenient for all my wonderful clients. I can’t wait to welcome you to my new space where we’ll keep creating fabulous looks together!
