People often ask me, "If you're a massage therapist, do you get massages yourself?"

Absolutely.
Massage helps me move better, recover better, sleep better, and continue doing the work I love. It also gives my body a chance to relax and my mind a chance to be quiet.

And after spending my days helping others feel their best, I know firsthand how valuable regular maintenance can be.

Your body works hard for you every day.
Take care of it before it demands your attention.

When was your last massage? 🤔😏

The average woman is losing muscle after 30.
Most don’t notice it happening.
They just notice the symptoms.

Less strength.
Less energy.
More aches and pains.
A slower metabolism.
Difficulty getting off the floor.
Difficulty carrying groceries.
Difficulty keeping up with kids & grandkids.

This age-related loss of muscle is called sarcopenia, and while it’s common, it’s not inevitable.

Muscle isn’t just about appearance.
Muscle helps you:

💪🏼 Stay independent as you age

💪🏼 Protect your metabolism

💪🏼 Improve blood sugar regulation

💪🏼 Reduce your risk of falls

💪🏼 Support healthy joints

💪🏼 Maintain a higher quality of life

🦴 and let’s not forget bone health.
Strength training places healthy stress on your bones, encouraging them to stay stronger over time.

That’s especially important for women as we age and our risk of osteoporosis increases.

You don’t have to become a bodybuilder.
You don’t need to spend hours in the gym.
But you do need to give your body a reason to keep the muscle and bone it has.

Lift weights.
Eat protein.
Move your body.
Your future self is counting on the choices you’re making today.

Follow for strength, wellness, and simple truth.

PRAYER IS POWERFUL.
AND SO IS RESPONSIBILITY.

I believe God answers prayers.
I believe miracles happen.

But I also believe many of us are praying for things God has already given us the ability to work toward.

Praying for health?
Walk daily.

Praying for more energy?
Prioritize sleep.

Praying for a stronger body?
Lift weights.

Praying for better blood sugar?
Eat protein and eliminate some processed sugars.

Praying for a healthier future?
Start making choices today that support the life you want tomorrow.

The Bible says:
"Faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead."
— James 2:17

"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord."
— Colossians 3:23

"Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit?"
— 1 Corinthians 6:19

And while Scripture reminds us that physical training is not the highest priority, it does tell us it has value.
"For physical training is of some value..."
— 1 Timothy 4:8

Prayer is powerful.
But prayer was never meant to replace obedience, stewardship, or action.
Faith + action = transformation.

What is one healthy action you can take today?

Taking a GLP-1? Don't make this mistake 👇🏼

You don’t wait until your teeth fall out to see a dentist.

You don’t wait until your engine explodes to get an oil change.

You don’t wait until your roof collapses to fix a leak.

So why wait until your body is screaming for help?

Pain is often the last warning sign, not the first.
Regular massage can help:
✔ Reduce muscle tension
✔ Improve mobility
✔ Support recovery
✔ Decrease stress
✔ Help you stay ahead of aches and pains

Your body carries you through every single day.
Take care of it before it demands your attention.

Regular maintenance matters.

YOUR BODY IS NOT AN ORNAMENT.
IT'S AN INSTRUMENT.

For years, women have been taught to view their bodies as decorations.

Something to shrink.
Something to perfect.
Something to be admired.

But Scripture points us in a different direction.
Your body was created by God with purpose.

Not merely to be looked at - but to serve.
To work.
To worship.
To love.
To carry out the good works God prepared for you.

A strong body helps you serve your family.
A healthy body helps you steward your responsibilities.
A capable body allows you to show up for the people God has entrusted to your care.

This isn't about chasing a certain dress size.
It's simply about stewardship.

"Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit?" (1 Corinthians 6:19)

"Present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God." (Romans 12:1)

"Physical training is of some value..." (1 Timothy 4:8)

God never called us to worship our bodies...but He did call us to care for them.

💪🏼 Muscle protects your metabolism.
The more muscle you carry, the more calories your body burns simply by being alive.

💪🏼 Muscle improves insulin sensitivity.
Your muscles act like a storage tank for glucose, helping your body manage blood sugar more effectively.

💪🏼 Muscle supports longevity.
Studies consistently show that strength and skeletal muscle mass are linked to better health, independence, and quality of life as we age.

And if you’re taking a GLP-1 medication?
Pay attention.

Many women lose both fat AND muscle while losing weight. The scale goes down, but so does their metabolic health.

💥That’s why strength training and adequate protein aren’t optional.
They’re essential.

Stop asking:
“How small can I get?”
Start asking:
“How strong can I become?”

Follow for strength, wellness, and truth.

I get to have the best conversations with you guys...and this one was worth sharing. (anonymously, with permission, of course 😇)

This is the power of taking your thoughts captive. Instead of wasting a massage therapy appointment feeling self conscious and stuck in your head - flip the script!
I was so happy my client shared her experience with me. These are very real, common feelings that women everywhere have. At this point, I'm pretty sure most of you shave your legs more for me than you do for your husbands. 😂

Some key things to remember in my office:
1) I'm so glad you're here. My job wouldn't exist without all of you and I truly love serving in this way.
2) Your rolls, dimples, and leg hair are no different from my own or the other 16-20 people I will see that week. The only thing I care about is whether or not you've used a bar of soap in the last 48 hours. 🙏🏼💕
3) I don't remember if you shaved - I remember your cat's name, your stressful project at work, and that your kid lost his iPad for not doing his chores. 👏🏼
4) Our bodies have done so much for us! Dare I say, we should follow this smart woman's lead and show a little gratitude for all that they have done for us.
5) You are doing yourself a wonderful favor by receiving regular massages. Rest your mind and allow yourself to fully soak up your session. That's what matters most!

Thank you for trusting me with your bodies, your thoughts, and your feelings.
Now that we've covered this - get online and schedule your next appointment, 'cause your girl is going overseas next month and the schedule is getting PACKED.
