Happy Tuesday! Here’s a DO and DON’T for the beginning stages of your Sisterlock journey.

It’s always my pleasure to provide a warm, welcoming, and personalized experience with each client. So, my consultations are no different.

The consultation is the vital piece to start your Sisterlocks journey the right way. This allows you, the client to meet me, ask questions, and most importantly get clarity.

This visit also allows me to gather and share some important information with you such as hair care history, analyzing your hair/scalp, and establishing a few “test locs”.

You’ll leave this visit more informed than when you came. Sisterlocks is a commitment, don’t be ashamed of your going back and forth with your decision. It’s rightly so.

👋🏾 Well, hello! I think a proper introduction is long overdue. My name is Xenia, I am the owner of Xenia’s Loc Suites. And I enjoy helping women (or men) like you to “loc your bad hair days away”. Some fun facts about me:

✨ I am a proud military wife to my awesome husband; we’ve been married for 20 years and have two teenage young men whom I’ve homeschooled since pre-school.
✨ I’m originally a “Left Coast” lady as I spent equal time growing up in Los Angeles and Denver.
✨ I love God and so, I love His image bearers. I genuinely care about all people. I enjoy hosting people at my home and will generally say “yes” to an invite unless a “no” is required.

✨ As a kid, I was bullied for my natural hair so, I did what everyone else was doing at the time; I started chemically relaxing my hair.

✨ In 2013 I used braids and weaves to transition back to my natural hair.

✨ For nine years, I invested a lot of care and time into my natural hair by carefully washing, deep conditioning, and styling it in low maintenance and protective styles. FINALLY, I fell in love with the hair God gave me.

✨ I was tired of the hours and hours of hair care, so I began to research different types of locs. Sisterlocks were by far the most appealing to me.

✨ The relationship I have with my loctician is what inspired me to get certified and provide this service also.

✨ I’ve been certified for two years and licensed by the state of Maryland in March of this year.

🙋🏾‍♀️ I genuinely enjoy meeting new people, and this is a great way to provide an amazing service to our community. Make sure you say “Hi” in the comments, I haven’t been as active on here but that’s about to change! I can’t wait to share loc care tips, products, and more with you here.
