Red Light Therapy is the name most people recognize, but in scientific research, you’ll often see it called photobiomodulation, or PBM. 🔬🔴

PBM uses specific wavelengths of red and/or near-infrared light to influence activity within our cells. Unlike UV light, these wavelengths do not cause tanning.

The light interacts with light-sensitive parts of the cells and may support processes involved in:

✨ Cellular energy production
✨ Circulation
✨ Inflammation control
✨ Tissue repair and recovery
✨ Skin health and collagen production

But the wavelength, intensity, treatment time and distance from the device all matter. More light does not automatically mean better results.
