Hi Prineville, this is going to be a long one, so grab a seat and a cup of tea or wine.πŸ˜…

I wanted to come on here and talk about the benefits of my style of massage and how often people should be getting them for maximum benefit and good muscle health. The kind of massage I offer is therapeutic in nature. Usually it's medium to deeper pressure, can include trigger point therapy, elbow work, occasionally stretching, myofacial release, cupping, scraping and or hot stones. The benefit of recieving this style of massage are simple. Over the course of our life, our body collects stress, tension, or trauma, that presents itself in localized or wide spread pain, headaches, anxiety and sometimes trouble sleeping. When you recieve a therapeutic massage, your nervous system is calmed down, and your body starts to slowly unwind, the pain slowly stops, headaches can disappear and you can sleep well again. The benefit of safe touch during licensed massage therapy is monumental. We carry the weight of the world on our shoulders, our personal world, and that can be extremely taxing on your muscles, you start to clench your jaw, you shoulders move up to your ears, the way you lift things changes, then your lower back and hips are affected and they start to hurt, you end up walking differently, and before you know it you have knee or foot pain. Any kind of stress or trauma in our body doesn't just affect one area, if you wait long enough it affects your whole body. Regular massage can greatly help with that. Now onto the frequency of massage. If you haven't had a massage ever or in a long time( over a year) or you have a super hard or stressful job you may need to get them more often in the beginning, 2 to 4 times a month or so. Once your body starts to relax and the pain goes down, you can extend it to once a month, at that point it becomes a maintenance massage. We keep the health of your muscles relaxed and then before they start to tighten up again you come in for a massage. Think of it as a tune up for your body. If you do good self care at home like stretching foam rolling, drinking enough water and getting enough sleep, you may be able to stretch that time frame to 2 months or so. Now onto our average Joe's, if you have moderate stress, you can start with every 2 weeks to once a month. The goal is to catch the stress before it takes over your body, not to come in when you are at a 10/10 pain level.
Now for those of you who have a pretty carefree life, low stress, easy on your body job, you can get away with getting 2 to 4 massages a year. Sometimes once every couple years. But it all depends on how much care you put into your muscle health at home. I am sadly not a miracle worker and can't fix you over night. You have to take care of your body at home too.

That being said, you have control over your body, time and money, so you have to decide what is worth it for you. Now for myself personally, I get a 2hr massage about every 2 weeks( I just had mine, thus the crazy hair in the photo 🀣), it helps me be able to help you. Everything I suggested above is not law, but I have done this for a fairly long time and have worked on a lot of different bodies in that time, so I have a pretty good idea of what most bodies could use. You do have to decide for yourself what you want/can/are willing to do. In a perfect world we would all get massages weekly.πŸ˜…
I appreciate all of you whp have come and continue to come and see me, as well as all of you I have not met.
If you decide you want/need a massage you can text me at 541-979-2844 or book online at http://wildflower-massage-studio.square.site/

I look forward to seeing you,
Viktorija

While Massage is so important for muscle self care, getting enough rest and going outside in the sunshine is too. If you haven't had the chance yet, visit the painted mountains. They are breathtaking. Almost don't feel real. When you get back, book a massage to work out all that walking you did. πŸ˜‰

This post isn't really massage related, but I've been living here for almost 3 months now, and the beauty here astonishes me almost every day. Not going to lie, when ever I visited, the juniper trees and sage bushes turned me away from enjoying it. But since we've moved here, all I can see is the beauty in the sunsets, the way the Sun shines and sky darkens right before a lightning storm, or the way the clouds look right after rain. I hope I never get sick of it, every day the sky is painted in a new design. Regardless of all the crap we all have to deal with, at least we get to appreciate this beauty. Have a wonderful weekend, and share your favorite nature/sunset/sunrise pictures with me. I appreciate you all.

Hello, lovelies,

When booking your massage, and deciding the length of it, there are a few things to consider. Do you want a full body or specific areas focused on? Does your body take a while to relax and feel safe? Did you want cupping on any areas? Did you want extra time on your feet, or scalp? How long has it been since your last massage? I'm going to break down every treatment, and what time frame would be the most applicable and comfortable. If you only want one or two areas focused on, and not get full body, schedule a 60 minute massage. If you want a few areas if focus, and have a hard time relaxing, or want those areas of focus, but also a full body and or cupping, schedule a 90 minute. If you want focus on specific spots, a full body, and have a hard time relaxing, get a 2 hour. If you want a full body, focus work and extra time to unwind, get more time on your feet and or scalp, schedule a 2.5 hour. I can add hot stones to any time frame, I prefer to add cups only to full bodies massages since they need time to sit. Every massage is helpful, but learning what is best for your body will be the key between getting better, and battling the same spots over and over again. Since I'm so new to Prineville I have plenty of time slots available for any time frame, but remember before you book, what does your body need? If ever in doubt reach out and ask what I would recommend. You are welcome to book online http://wildflower-massage-studio.square.site/

Or text 541 979 2844

If you can't tell, I am excited for autumn πŸ˜…

Look forward to helping you feel better,
Viktorija
