When a client comes in with a very low contrast, such as seen here; very light brow hair on very light skin, the challenge is how to make that brow actually visible when the two tones are so very close together. The answer isn’t to go darker, but rather, to go denser. Staying true to their very light brow hair color with a customized pigment blend, and layering very soft washes of their light color. This effect gives them added density, structure, and a discernible brow shape, without having to go darker than their natural brow hair. The more you know! 💫🌈

One thing I encourage every client to do is trust what the face mapping shows you as your best proportions. This client got a somewhat different brow shape in her face mapping mock up than she was used to drawing on with her pencil. Notice how the inner portions dip lower, the tail is higher and wider. Despite being very attached to her pencil shape, she trusted the process, and now has a balanced, open, lifted look that complements her beautifully 🦋 I never take it for granted how much trust people put in me ✨
