After a highlighting service, you should wait 72 hours or longer to wash your hair!

Want to know why?? It’s because your hair cuticle will open during your service in order to allow the pigment to color the hair from the inside out.

Now, that being said, most stylists will use an acidic gloss that will close & smooth the hair cuticle as an end to your service. I do this on every single client to ensure maximum shine, longevity & hair health.

This final step will help seal the cuticle, BUT, it’s still best to wait as long as you can before shampooing or wetting your hair. Just listen to me, ok?! 🥰 It’s for your own good!

To maintain vibrant hair color use these tips below 👇🏻

🔥Use professional quality sulfate-free shampoo
🔥Wash with cool water
🔥Avoid excessive sun exposure because the sun can bleach out your color as well as your skin!
🔥Use color-protecting products like heat protectants and leave in primers

Also, if you are a frequent shampooer, tone at 4 weeks to keep the vibrancy up 😍
