Highlights don’t have to mean a harsh line of grow-out. 🌿

For me, beautiful color isn’t just about how it looks the day you leave the salon. I’m also thinking about how it will look weeks later.

That means considering your natural color, where the highlights are placed, how much dimension we leave in your hair, and—maybe most importantly—how often you actually want to come back to the salon.

Especially for women 40+, hair and gray patterns can change over time. Your color plan can change with them.

The goal?
✨ Natural-looking dimension
✨ Softer, less obvious grow-out
✨ A maintenance schedule that fits your real life
✨ Hair that still looks beautiful between appointments

Because low-maintenance color isn’t one-size-fits-all. It should be designed around you.

How long would you ideally like to go between color appointments?

10/10/2026

Okay, Cache Valley ladies… I’m curious. 😄

How often do you actually WANT to get your hair cut?

✂️ A — Every 4–6 weeks
✂️ B — Every 6–8 weeks
✂️ C — Every 8–12 weeks
😂 D — As little as humanly possible

There really isn’t a wrong answer.

One woman may love coming in every 4–6 weeks, while another wants a haircut that can happily go much longer between appointments.

That’s part of what low-maintenance hair means to me—creating a cut that works with your hair, your routine, and the amount of maintenance you actually want.

So tell me below: A, B, C or D? 👇

Hair changes. And that’s okay. 🌿

As we get older, our hair can change too—texture, density, gray, the way it falls, and even how much time we want to spend styling it.

Sometimes the haircut or routine that worked beautifully for years just… doesn’t anymore.

Instead of fighting those changes, I like to look at the hair you have today.

What’s your natural texture doing?
What feels difficult to manage?
How much styling do you actually want to do at home?
And what kind of grow-out will make your life easier?

My goal isn’t to give every woman the same haircut. It’s to create healthy, natural-looking, low-maintenance hair that works for you and your real life. ✂️

Because good hair shouldn’t require a wrestling match every morning. 😉

Have you noticed your hair changing as you’ve gotten older? What’s been the biggest change for you?

✂️ OCTOBER HAIRCUT SPECIAL 🍂

Your haircut shouldn’t just look great the day you leave the salon—it should keep working for you as it grows.

That’s why I think about more than just the finished look. I’m considering your natural texture, how the shape will grow out, and how much time you actually want to spend styling your hair at home.

Especially for women 40+, sometimes a few thoughtful changes to the cut can make everyday hair so much easier. 🌿

Throughout October, enjoy $10 OFF your haircut.

A great haircut shouldn’t have an expiration date. ✂️🌿

Of course I want your hair to look beautiful when you leave my chair—but I’m also thinking about what happens 4, 6, even 8 weeks later.

Does the shape still work?
Does it work with your natural texture?
Can you actually style it at home?
And does it still fit your real life as it grows?

That’s where things like shape, weight, movement and texture really matter.

Especially for women 40+, our hair can change in texture, density and movement. Sometimes the haircut that worked beautifully for years just doesn’t work quite the same anymore.

My goal isn’t to give you “perfect” hair that only looks good when I style it.

🌿 I want to create hair that works with you.
✂️ A shape designed with the grow-out in mind.
🤍 A routine you can realistically recreate at home.

Beautiful today. Still beautiful as it grows.

Cache Valley ladies 40+ — I’m curious! 👇

If you could make ONE thing about your hair easier, what would it be?

Maybe it’s…

✂️ Spending less time styling
🤍 Dealing with gray grow-out
🌿 Changes in thickness or texture
💨 Frizz that seems to have a mind of its own
✨ Finding a haircut that actually works with your hair
😅 Or something completely different

Hair changes over time—and what worked for us 10 or 20 years ago may not be what works best now.

I’d love to hear what your biggest hair frustration is right now.

Tell me in the comments. 👇 Your answers may even inspire some of my upcoming posts!

One of the things I think about when I’m cutting your hair is something you might not expect…

What is this going to look like 6–8 weeks from now?

Of course I want you to love your hair when you leave my chair. But I also care about what happens after that.

✂️ How will the shape grow out?
🌿 Will it still work with your natural texture?
⏰ Will you be able to style it yourself without fighting with it every morning?

And as your hair changes—especially after 40—does the haircut still make sense for the hair you have now?

That’s a big part of my approach as a holistic hairstylist.

I’m looking at the whole picture: your hair health, your lifestyle, your maintenance goals, and how your hair will work for you between appointments.

Because beautiful hair is great.

Beautiful hair that works with your real life is even better. 🌿

What actually makes hair LOW-MAINTENANCE?

It’s not just washing it less or finding the perfect product.

For me, it starts before I ever pick up my scissors.

✂️ How will this haircut grow out?

✨ Can we create highlights or color with a softer grow-out?

🤍 If you’re starting to gray, do we need to cover it—or could we work with it?

🌿 How much time do you realistically want to spend styling your hair?

🧴 Can we simplify your products instead of adding more?

And especially for women 40+, I’m also paying attention to how your hair may be changing.

That’s a big part of what being a holistic hairstylist means to me.

I’m looking at the whole picture—your hair health, your lifestyle, your maintenance goals, the products we’re using, and how your hair is going to look weeks after you leave my chair.

Because I don’t just want your hair to look beautiful on appointment day.

I want it to work for your real life.
