To the woman who has kept me out of jail and the psych ward: Happy Mother’s Day to the mother of all mothers ❤️

No matter what life throws your way, you somehow handle it with grace, patience, and a calm that I genuinely don’t understand. You’ve not only been the best mom to me, but the kind of person who shows up for everyone around you without hesitation.

I hope one day I can give back even a fraction of everything you’ve done for me and for so many others. I love you more than words can explain, Mom ❤️

I’ve been procrastinating making this post, but here it goes…

On Sunday, March 1st, my father passed away peacefully with my mom and me by his side.

No one ever prepares you for the loss of a parent & there truly are no words to describe it.

I’ve already missed you for 13 days, and I’ll continue to miss you forever.

I’ll miss your cooking and your hysterical stories. I’ll miss the smell of that god-awful Stetson cologne you loved for some reason. I’ll miss your unfiltered, unapologetic attitude. I’ll miss calling me to tell me what you’re cooking for dinner & then telling me to come over. I’ll miss the way you always found a way to make people laugh in the darkest times. I’ll miss you swearing up a storm in Italian thinking I couldn’t understand you.

Thank you for raising me to be a strong woman. Thank you for teaching me to shoot for the stars. Thank you for always protecting me. Thank you for always defending me, even when I was wrong. Thank you for making me laugh until I cried. Thank you for being the man I could always call when something went wrong.

I hope you’re somewhere with the rest of the family, listening to Frank Sinatra, & eating everyday like it’s Sunday dinner.

At this time, we’re holding off on services, but we’re hopeful to have a celebration of life sometime in late spring.
