Our very first festival is in the books! What an amazing weekend surrounded by amazing people! Thank you to everyone who stopped and said hi, to the wonderful clients who let me put what we do on display for people in a VERY public way and to the beautiful souls who are riding along with me on this incredible dreadshop journey. We come to the end of our Meet the Dread Artist series! Dread Falls Fam, I'm pleased to introduce the lovely Miss Amanda!

Hello, I'm Amanda Powell, Army veteran, proud wife and mother, and a self-taught artist with a deep love for creativity in all its forms. My artistic journey began with acrylics on canvas and polymer clay, where I found joy in bringing vibrant, handmade pieces to life.
Now, I'm excited to expand my artistic expression into a new medium: the beautiful and meaningful art of dreadlocks. Thanks to the generous guidance of Brandi, I've been learning the craft of creating, maintaining, and styling both synthetic and natural locs.
This new chapter combines my passion for creativity with the honor of helping others feel confident and empowered in their look. I'm thrilled to be on the journey and can't wait to share my art-on canvas and now, through hair-with the world.

The next beauty in our Meet the Dread Artist series is this darling angel, my dear friend Devon!!!

Greetings, dear adventurers! I am Devon, a wife, mother, Air Force veteran, cosmetologist, reiki master practitioner, and soon-to-be loctician.

In 2022, I began my personal dread journey as a bucket list hairstyle. I was captivated by the rebellion against conformity and European beauty standards, as well as the profound spiritual connection it offers. It’s a vibe, it’s a whole lifestyle, and I’ve discovered a world of fascinating individuals that share this passion.

I was introduced to Brandi by one of her enchanting clients. During our first meeting, we became fast friends! In October of last year, she invited me to learn her mystical craft and help expand her business. With 16 years of experience behind the chair and in various salon settings, I’ve been eager to broaden my repertoire. There’s no one I’d rather share this whimsical journey with than these fabulous ladies. We’ve conjured a safe haven to be our weird, quirky, authentic, and individual selves.

Hello, Dread Falls Family!!! The little dread world we've created is growing! Part of that growth has been teaching 3 lovely ladies this craft that I hold very dear. They have been at my side, learning the unique ways of dreadlocks, and I am pleased to present them to you! I'd like to introduce you to my sweet friend, Latisha!

"Hey, I’m Latisha-- you can call me Tish for short. I’m a part-time coffee roaster, a full-time distribution center boss, and a creative force behind handcrafted synthetic dreadlocks. I’m a woman of many talents, and I pursue each one with purpose and passion.

Fueled by alt rock, horror flicks, and gym sessions, I bring intense energy and intention into every corner of my life. I’m driven, determined, and spiritually grounded—but don’t mistake that for softness. I stand firm in who I am and don’t back down easily.

Right now, I’m focused on expanding my reach in the dreadlock world—pushing boundaries, connecting with new clients, and turning creativity into a powerful statement. "

Hey 90's kids! Remember Thread Dreads??? Well, they're back! 😁😁 I got to make a couple of Thread Dreads for my lovely shop neighbors, Ruth and Lili from Unique Treasures, a little potted plant and antique shop next door to Dread Falls! Thank you, darlings, for letting me make these for you! ❤️✌️😁
