Handmade on the Highways

This 4th of July looked a little different around here. 🇺🇸

While our friends were camping and boating, we stayed home and spent the weekend getting the house ready to hit the market.

Garage sales, donation piles, painting, organizing, and making countless trips to the curb. Not exactly exciting content, but it’s real life right now.

Every box packed and every item donated gets us one step closer to the next chapter. ❤️

A few years ago, when our dad passed away, we realized we didn’t want funerals to be the only reason we got together. So we made a promise to ourselves to get together at least once a year.

Every year since, we’ve spent Father’s Day weekend together, making memories, meeting new family members, and celebrating the people who matter most. ❤️

Not every day on the road is sightseeing and exploring. Some days are spent labeling products, filling jars, packing orders, and keeping the business moving.

And honestly? Looking up from work and seeing this view never gets old. 🚐💛

Funny how life brings familiar faces back around.

Today was our second day volunteering at the Cherry Creek State Park Visitor Center, and Michelle, the park manager, stopped in. Years ago, we served together on the Brighton Chamber of Commerce board.

We hadn’t seen each other in quite a while, so it was nice to catch up and reconnect in a completely different setting.

Our first night at Cherry Creek State Park last night brought the sweetest surprise—a family of deer grazing right outside our campsite. 🦌🥹

After all those miles traveling , it feels like the perfect welcome to our summer home.

2,894 miles. 8 campgrounds. Countless memories. ❤️🚐

We traveled from Colorado to California, made magical memories with our kids and grandbabies at Disneyland and Dodger Stadium, explored the Grand Canyon, survived California traffic, and made our way safely back home to Cherry Creek State Park.
