🚨 Soapmaker Confession Time 🚨

Well friends... after countless successful batches, we finally had our first soap-making fail in quite some time. 😅

This week's lesson: Neem Oil does NOT come to play around

We thought we were making a beautiful Botanical Garden soap. Neem oil had other plans.

Expected: A nice, leisurely soap-making session.
Reality: Soap batter went from "looking great" to "I HAVE MADE A TERRIBLE MISTAKE" in approximately 3.7 seconds.

Not only did it accelerate faster than a toddler running away in a grocery store, but the color transformation was far more dramatic than anticipated. What started as a lovely botanical-inspired creation quickly evolved into something that looked... let's just say earthy. Very, very earthy. 😂

The good news:
✅ The soap is still perfectly usable.
✅ We learned something new.
✅ We now have a healthy respect (and slight fear) for neem oil.

The bad news:
❌ The soap did not consult us before choosing its final appearance.

Sometimes handcrafted means embracing the unexpected, and this batch definitely kept us humble. Soapmakers everywhere know that every now and then the soap gods demand a sacrifice. This week, it was our Botanical Garden soap.
