Congratulations are in order: Dr. Timothy Goodrich, Otolaryngologist at Palouse Ear Nose & Throat, was honored with a Guardian Angel award by Charles and Barbara Grutzmacher for the surgical care he provided Barbara.
Barbara had struggled for two and a half months with a raging ear infection stemming from a bad ear wax wash, causing her intense pain. She saw a handful of doctors who prescribed her three rounds of antibiotics, including 14 infusions, all of which did not help alleviate her pain.
She then contacted Palouse ENT and saw Dr. Timothy Goodrich. βDr. Goodrich examined my ear and told me I had two choices: I could continue doing what I was doing, and my ear would not get better, or I could have surgery,β recalls Barbara. At 84 years old, surgery was not an easy choice to make, but one Barbara knew would help her pain. She had a successful surgery at Pullman Regional Hospital one week after her consultation with Dr. Goodrich to clean out an ear canal abscess.
βI knew within a few minutes that I had found a Guardian Angel at Palouse ENT,β says Barbara. βI couldnβt have asked for a better doctor. He was so kind and patient, and took time to explain everything to me. All I can say is thank you.β
The Guardian Angel program gives grateful patients an opportunity to honor a physician, nurse or hospital staff member while supporting Pullman Regional Hospital. Learn more about this impactful program: https://hubs.li/Q030Whxy0
