Spring is in the air — even though we’re all still bracing for that last-minute freeze!

In February, I had the privilege of attending two hair shows — one with Kevin Murphy and the other with Brazilian Blowout. I went in hoping for fresh inspiration and big ideas, but honestly, I left realizing how much the hair industry could use a shake-up. While skincare keeps evolving with peels, lasers, and injectables, the hair world felt a little… stuck.

At the Kevin Murphy show, the “big trend” was a basic brunette and a redhead. MINDBLOWING! (Not really.)

The Brazilian Blowout class was a bit better — they showed off the benefits of their products — but with the cost of their treatments, stylists have to charge $325 or more just to break even.—not so inspirational.
