In Connecticut, a hairdressing apprentice is someone who is licensed by the state to learn in a salon under a licensed professional instead of going the traditional full-time school route.

Apprentices:
✂️Train hands-on in a real salon
Work directly under a licensed hairdresser
✂️Learn everything from coloring and cutting to sanitation and client care
✂️Must follow strict state rules and supervision requirements

They are not assistants and not unlicensed - they are officially registered with the state and actively working toward their full hairdressing license.

Haley will be working beside me, Owner of Boho Beauty Bar, for the next two years. I have been licensed since 2011 and have been working behind the chair for 15 years now!
