I am absolutely floored by the support I've received since announcing my move — thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

I promise I won't make email blasts a regular thing, but over the next few weeks I will be reaching out more often across all platforms to make sure the news doesn't get missed.

If you *did* miss the first announcement: I've moved! Tuesday was my last day in Lake Tapps, and Wednesday was my first official day at my new studio suite, Apothecary Hair, located inside The Makeup Within (formerly Lash Out Loud) in South Hill, Puyallup.

The first few days went about as smoothly as I could have hoped — everything functioned, I’m mostly unpacked and clients found me without too much trouble. I will say, I may need to rethink what I'm manifesting, because somehow on DAY ONE I got the call to pick up not one, but TWO sick kids from school — and still didn't miss a moment behind the chair. The ability to show up for my clients and be the parent my kids need is something I will never take for granted.

I also opened up my books through mid June! If you are one of my 4-6 week-ers and we DON’T already have multiple appointments on the books, please reach out unless I see you very soon so we can secure your regular times. Planning now for vacations, proms, graduations and weddings is the best way to ensure you feel your best.

Big News!

Change is scary—but it’s also exciting.

I think I sometimes dread sending messages like this because I never want you to feel the stress around change that I do. But for me and my family, this is big—and very exciting—news.

After five and a half years in Lake Tapps—a place I landed in during the chaos of COVID, while also grieving the loss of the downtown Puyallup shop we all loved so much—I’m relocating closer to home.

Starting April 1st, I will be operating from a private suite within the new South Hill location of The Makeup Within salon collective. The suites are located at 12303 Meridian E, Puyallup- a 1/2 mile past the mall, in the space formerly known as Lash Out Loud.

All pre-booked appointments will remain on your existing day and time—just at the new location. In addition to the usual automated confirmations, I’ll also be reaching out personally to confirm the change and share a few tips for parking and finding me.

Right away, you’ll still be able to receive all the same services you’ve been coming to me for over the years (decades?). Looking ahead, I’m really excited to begin curating a space that feels more like me—one that reflects the energy I want to put out into the world. I also hope to introduce a few new offerings, like working with color seasons and, maybe, sharing some of my art.

This move will (hopefully!) bring a bit more stability and convenience to the beautiful chaos that is our family life. As always, my space will remain family-friendly and welcoming to all ages, genders, ethnicities, and preferences. Guests are absolutely welcome to join you at your appointments—and we’ll even have WiFi again—though seating may be a little limited for the first month or two as I get everything settled.

While this is something I’ve thought about often since we heard the sad news that 2nd St. was closing back in 2020, this particular opportunity came together very quickly and didn’t allow much lead time to prepare.

If I saw you a month ago, this wasn’t even in the works—and if I’ve seen you more recently and didn’t mention anything, please know it wasn’t personal. Out of respect for the Lake Tapps salon and the atmosphere there, I’ve been mindful about when and how I shared this news, especially in shared spaces.

I know that while many of you will be excited about a closer commute, others may feel a bit inconvenienced by the change—especially those who originally found me because of the Lake Tapps location. Please know I completely understand, and I’m never offended if this shift no longer works for you.

At the end of the day, I’m just incredibly grateful for each of you—for your trust, your loyalty, and the relationships we’ve built over the years. Wherever this next chapter takes us, I truly hope to continue seeing your faces in my chair. 🤍
