Smooch alert 🥵💋: how beautiful are these lips!? She had a great foundation to start with and we were able to add some nice volume and hydration to the lips. They don’t overpower her face and overall create a more balanced look. If you’re afraid of filler, let’s chat! Nerves are completely normal but I’ll take care of you! 🖤

I wanted to break down the difference between Botox (or other neurotoxins) and dermal filler because it can definitely be confusing when you’re first entering the world of aesthetics! Neurotoxins are used to prevent muscle movement which causes the wrinkles whereas filler is used to help restore any volume loss- both very different but used in combination can create magic! ✨

Recently I’ve had a few people say they booked their appointment just by reading my reviews 🥺. As any small business owner knows, reviews can make or break our business and everything we do is to provide a 5-star experience to our consumers. Thank you for helping my business grow, and I can’t wait to see hopefully so many more of you soon! Xo, Minal 🖤

CONTRAINDICATIONS for dermal filler:
•
Pregnancy: No neurotoxin or filler injections during pregnancy for obvious reasons. There is not enough research to determine whether injections are safe during pregnancy. 🤰🏽
•
•
Hemophilia: a bleeding disorder due to a genetic deficiency in clotting factor VIII. 🩸
•
•
Cancer patients: chemotherapy and radiation lower your bodies immune response. 🧬
•
•
Autoimmune disorders: cells and antibodies arising from and directed against the individuals own tissues.🦠
•
•
Breastfeeding: see Pregnancy above 👆🏽
•
•
Active infection: your body is trying to heal. Introducing filler during any active infection may cause an inflammatory response.

We have relocated!! I will now be seeing your beautiful faces in Room 26 , Queen Creek! This move fell into my lap at a time I needed clarity the most and I am so happy with my decision. One of the biggest reasons to relocate was to be closer to home and every single one of you have been SO incredibly supportive of my move. Your loyalty means more to me than you may know. I build a relationship with every single patient of mine and they’ve been gracious enough to all move with me 🙏🏽🖤. I thank you for your endless love and support to my small business-we all know small businesses need your support now more than ever. Share their page, send referrals, buy gift cards, so many ways to help! 🦋

What to avoid after injectables: well..to name a few..
•Sun exposure: this one is a big one, especially in Arizona. I know it tempting to go into the pool to cool off but it’s not worth messing up your filler. No sun until swelling and redness subsides. 1-2 weeks for filler, 24 hours for any neurotoxin☀️ •
•Facials/massages: you don’t want do anything that can move or dissipate the product. We placed it there for a reason! No facials/ massages for 2 weeks with filler, 24 hours with any neurotoxin 👩🏻🔬•
•Makeup: Anytime the skin is penetrated with a needle, there is a chance of infection. Keep your makeup brushes and beauty blenders off your face for 24 hours. 💄•
•Exercise: Exercise induces heat. Heat can diffuse or move product placement. Avoid exercise for 24 hours with neurotoxin, 1-2 weeks or until all swelling subsides with filler 💪🏾•
•Dental work: No dental work two weeks before or after any injectables 🦷 •
•Tanning: ugh..if you’re still using a tanning bed, I urge you to do some deep soul searching 🧘🏾♀️•

When lip filler doesn’t give you “duck” lips..💋😉. Before and immediately after injections-with obvious swelling.

How to prepare for your next injectables appointment: we get this often frequently and these are just a few way to make sure you are ready for your Botox or filler. Every provider has their own pre and post care instructions I’ve noticed but here is a summary of what is in included in mine 🤗
•
HYDRATE: If you are going in for filler; the most common and safer fillers are hyaluronic acid (HA). HA is a hydrophilic (water-loving) molecule found in our bodies and nature. Staying hydrated helps those water molecules attract to the filler, and that means YAY! 💦
•
NO ALCOHOL 48 HRS PRIOR: Alcohol can thin your blood by preventing blood cells from sticking together and forming clots. This increases your chances of both bleeding and bruising. 🍷
•
ARNICA SUPPLEMENTS: Arnica is an herb commonly used medicinally for pain, bruising, bleeding, and swelling. Arnica is also applied topically post procedures to help with bruising.💪🏾
•
AVOID NSAIDS: and blood thinners (must be cleared first)-they also thin your blood and increase your chances of bruising and bleeding. Avoid fish oil, Vitamin E, and gingko biloba for 1 week prior to filler. 💉
•
TRUST YOUR INJECTOR: oy. This is a good one. Many many times your injector will make a recommendation that was different than what you went in for..that is okay. They are the professional. Trust them to tell you what is best for you..if you don’t..you shouldn’t be sitting in their chair. 🦋
•
These are some ‘general’ guidelines. Your provider will have more in depth information in your consent forms! Let me know your thoughts below! 💙

Decisions like these are never easy, but it’s a part of being a business owner. I will remain closed for the month of May. As much as it saddens me to not see you all, your safety has always been my #1 priority. Yes I have been watching all the governer announcements for Arizona and am very well educated on what is happening. With that being said, I am aware MANY medical spas and salons will be re-opening by next week. Thankfully I’ve never been one to just “follow” what others did. We are all adults with decision making abilities. How you chose to respond to this as a business is a reflection of your values and beliefs..a representation of your brand. I continue to stand firm in my own beliefs and know in my heart this is the right decision. Many of you may not agree and THAT IS OKAY! 😊We are allowed to have our own opinions so let’s please continue to be respectful of everyone regardless of how you may feel. Nobody knows how to get through this, we haven’t dealt with something like this before and as a new business owner trust me, it’s scary. But..I do believe everything happens for a reason. So is this. I will continue to update you as this moves along. As always I am grateful for your support. Stay safe and healthy, I cannot wait to re-open and see you! 🙏🏽💙 •

What’s the difference between Botox and Fillers!? I broke it down to some basics in this diagram. It took me an abnormally long period of time to make this..graphics are hard 😂, but I’m thinking I’ll do more of them as a way to educate you on some common questions and concerns people may have regarding injectables! 💙
