Healthy eating doesn’t need to take over your evenings.

Sometimes it looks like salmon bowls with extra veggies.

And sometimes it looks like chicken nuggets and mac & cheese on paper plates after a long day.

The biggest thing I see women struggle with is thinking every meal has to be:
❌ perfectly balanced
❌ super creative
❌ homemade from scratch
❌ “clean” all of the time
❌ different from what their kids are eating

But most of the time consistency comes from making meals simpler, not more complicated.

Even the salmon bowls in this carousel only took me about 20 minutes start to plate.

You do NOT need to become a gourmet chef to live a healthy lifestyle.

Your meals can be:
✔ realistic
✔ quick
✔ family friendly
✔ satisfying
✔ supportive of your goals

Healthy eating in real life usually looks a lot less perfect than the internet makes it seem 🩷

Let’s do some self care and talk about cheat meals

After 3 pregnancies and losing 45lbs 3 separate times, I’ve learned that postpartum weight loss has a lot less to do with punishment and a lot more to do with support, recovery, and consistency.

I’ve pushed too hard postpartum before.
I’ve cut calories too aggressively.
I’ve watched my milk supply tank trying to lose weight faster.

And I’ve also learned that rebuilding your body works a lot better than trying to “bounce back.”

That’s why if I had to do it all over again, I’d focus on:
• recovery
• realistic nutrition
• simple routines
• strength training
• walking
• consistency over extremes

Because postpartum is already hard enough without trying to force yourself through another all-or-nothing plan.

You do not need to punish your body into shape.
You need a realistic plan that works with your real life 🩷

Follow along for fitness that fits your life — and send this to another mom in the postpartum trenches.

Building a business and getting fit have felt weirdly similar to me lately.

At first it feels awkward, slow, and uncomfortable.
You question yourself constantly.

People have opinions.
Progress feels invisible.
But eventually the habits compound.

And little by little, you become someone who trusts herself more.

If you’re trying to build routines that actually fit your real life comment ‘BALANCE’ below and I’ll help you get started.

Day 1 of the cut in the books ✅

The first couple days are always the hardest for me as I settle back into a new routine.

But I’m also trying something new this time, because trying to lose fat while you’re training for a marathon is a fine line to balance.

I’ve heard so many people say “I’ll just start running to lose weight” which is so funny to me, because when I start running I get SO hungry! (Like not quite nursing a hungry baby hungry, but close 😂)

I also spent the past month prepping to start my cut. April is the month of birthdays which it made it easier, but I intentionally ate in a small surplus, trained hard, and primed my body to get the most out of my deficit.

Now the goal is to lean out a little bit as my running volume decreases during the Arizona summer so I’m ready to hit the ground running this fall 🩷

If you have any questions my DMs are always open.

You’re not inconsistent. You’re just exhausted from showing up for everyone else.

You put yourself on the back burner, but at some point, something has to give.

You are worthy of being a priority 🩷

If you want to chat about how that could look for you, comment “Balance” below and I’ll help you get started.

A good system can be the difference between a bad day becoming a bad month or just an inconvenience.

We can’t assume that things are going to go as planned, so having a back up game plan in place is crucial.

Depending on your personality type (weight loss or general), this might feel more difficult than it needs to be.

If you want to learn more about your weight loss personality type, comment “Quiz” below and I’ll send it right over 🩷

When work and mom life go into overdrive, fitness and self-care are the first things to go.

While there are seasons we all go through, you need systems to sustain you on your very worst day.

What does it look like to prioritize your health when you’re running on empty? Can you hit your water goal? Do 20 squats? Make a protein smoothie? Pick an anchor habit that you can feel good about.

What about your best days? The 8 hours of sleep, clear calendar and the baby is hanging out with Grandma kind of days. Is that a powerful gym session? Meal prep? Maybe even a sauna session?

The reality is that most days live somewhere in between these two, and it’s ok for your fitness habits to fall in the middle and be flexible.

If you need help setting up healthy habits and systems specifically tailored to YOU, I help corporate moms drop 15-30lbs without living in the gym or tracking forever.

Comment ‘BALANCE’ and I’ll help you get started 🩷

Xoxo,

Janey
