This one is a bit of a vulnerable, yet reality check, type of post. I know we all see what most people post as their “highlight reel” here on IG & FB …and I would venture to say, the first photo might fall into that category. {aside from Mateo’s zoned-out look in the back 😂}

But the second photo? Well - that’s what a sugar, Rockstar Energy & gluten detox looks like - R E A L I T Y. Though I seem confident in the way I show up online, in person? I AM SO SELF CONSCIOUS!!!!

I am constantly thinking *do they know that I’ve picked at my face before I got here?*

*what if I have a whitehead I didn’t catch, are they staring at it?*

*oh my gosh, I hope they don’t think I’m dirty, or don’t wash my face because it’s SO blatantly obvious that my acne is out of control*

From the front, and with a great makeup, I feel like I can conquer the world — JUST DONT COME TO CLOSE!

I know texture on anyone’s skin is normal, but I’m still working so hard to accepting and just allow my texture to BE. I’m getting there — but it takes work, and practice. So please bear with me!

I know there is a day in the future I will have clear skin, I don’t know WHEN that will be — but I will do all I can from here and now, to figure out how to get there.

Just a little uplifting note to anyone who may feel the same - YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!! It’s normal to feel this way …and though I constantly worry about it myself, I GENUINELY don’t notice your flaws, my love! 🧡

Can we talk about crows feet for a second?!

I’m 32, mine started to come in, noticeably, when I was pregnant with the twins in 2014 - and I can HONESTLY say that I have never had an issue with them!

I genuinely think they’re beautiful! My acne? Not so much 😂 but my crows feet tell a STORY for me! They show that I’ve lived a life filled with LAUGHTER & Joy! Isn’t that what we all really want?!

I mean, I can’t exactly say the same about my forehead wrinkles, BUT — my crows feet can stick around! I love seeing them crinkle a little in photos and videos when my kids make me laugh, or when me and Matt have a super fun time, or a photo to mark an occasion or adventure.

I LOVE MY CROWS FEET!!!! If you’re feeling the opposite - I get it! They’re not the most “perfect” magazine aspect of the face - but darn it, they’re a sign of a life well lived! I can’t wait to see how they deepen with each smile, laugh and even cry — because that means life is FULL!!! 🧡
