Over the past year, my business has evolved to better reflect the experience I want to create for every client. I designed my new studio to be private, peaceful, and personalized. It’s a contrast to the traditional salon environment, including my former salon, Camellia. Along with the new space and new vibes comes a new name.

Introducing Selene Studio. 🌙

This name is inspired by the stillness of the moon and by my daughter, Selene, whose name means moon goddess. It reflects the calm, intentional atmosphere I hope every client feels when they walk through my door. It also represents the reason I built this business: to create a life where I can be more present for my family while doing work that I love.

A little clarification about my studio 🌙

I’ve had a few people ask recently, so I realized I may not have made this clear when I announced my new space!

My studio is a private, one-chair salon located in an office building in a professional cul-de-sac in Queensbury, it is not located in my home.

I designed and renovated the space to feel quiet, comfortable, personal, and a little bit homey, while still being a completely separate professional space. So if you’ve seen photos and thought it looked cozy enough to be a home, then I succeeded in exactly what I set out to create. 🫶🏻

The privacy and comfort of a one-on-one appointment without the noise and activity of a traditional salon.

Just you, me, and a peaceful little space to do some really good hair. 🤎
