Hello everyone, today I had my first chemotherapy treatment and so far I’m feeling ok. I hope that feeling good continues while undergoing this treatment. I’m thinking my work schedule will be a day to day thing. If you call or text me I can set something up that day or next day. I don’t want to schedule out weeks in advance because I don’t want to have to cancel because I’m not feeling good. I won’t be working very many hours or days. Please be patient, I would really like for everything to go back to how it was but that won’t happen for a while. Thank you everyone for your prayers, kindness, and most of all love.❤️ ❤️❤️

Hello everyone. Today I got my port put in to start receiving chemo therapy which I will start a week from tomorrow. I will be receiving chemo once every 3 weeks over a 5 month span. There will be days where I will feel good and mostly normal and others where I will feel weak and tired. On days where I will feel good, I plan to work half days. For those who don’t know, receiving chemo weakens your immune system a great deal which will make me more prone to getting sick. For any appointments that I scheduled with any of you I ask that you please choose to not come in if you are feeling sick in any way. Please be patient with getting any appointments scheduled as I am not sure how long it will take for me to comfortable enough to do hair. This has been a lot to deal with and I’m not out of the woods yet. Thank you in advance for your continued love, support and understanding. I could not ask for a better group of clients. Hi everyone. Today I had my oncologist appointment. Still don’t have a lot of answers yet but we do have a plan. I’m going to be getting surgery on the 27th. In the meantime, I will be getting labs and CT scan done. That will hopefully tell us if there is anything else suspicious going on with my other organs and give us clue to what is actually going on.

I will give more updates as they come. I am thinking we won’t know much else until after CT scan this Friday and surgery on the 27th.

Hello everyone. I wanted to share with you some news that has happened recently that will greatly affect my life moving forward. I’ve been having some medical problems and recently got an MRI scan done. It is almost certain that I have cancer. Over the next few weeks I’m going to be going through treatment. As of right now we do not know the type of cancer or the extent of it. I do not know how long I will be away from work.

I know you probably have questions. We also have questions and don’t have many answers right now. My family and I need time to process this and quite frankly, it is hard to talk about this and answer questions. As we know more, I will be posting updates. I would appreciate it if everyone give me and my family some space and privacy for the time being.

Just to clarify The Hair Connection will remain in business until it’s sold. November 1 is when I’m going to the new place. The appointments that I have scheduled before that time will be at The Hair Connection.

After 33 years at the Hair Connection, I will be saying goodbye and starting my own business.
