It takes 30 seconds to do and it will save you in the long run..

I almost always blow dry the front pieces for my clients before I fully commit to blow drying their full head of hair.
I let my clients see their hair color and placement and give them the opportunity to tell me if there’s anything they aren’t loving before I move forward with the blow dry.

1 it saves me time, I rather fix any errors before I break my shoulders blow drying

2 it’s less pressure on the client so they don’t feel awkward saying f anything after the hair is fully styled.

During consultations we go over SO much it’s easy to overlook or misunderstand certain details.

It’s seriously a non negotiable to do a recap after my consults. It helps paint the bigger picture and puts me and my client on the same page.

I always go over:
-placement
-dimension size
-money piece and face framing size
-tones
-hair cuts and layers
-expectations and plan B just in case
-length of time they can expect to be in the salon (bc I get it they have other things to do)

I feel like this could be a hot take?!!! To each their own, if online booking works for you I love that for you.. But for my salon it feels like more of a headache.

Don’t get me wrong, online booking has its perks.. Clients can book whenever, I don’t need to pay someone to respond and book clients, I’m sure the list goes on BUT I would rather have the insurance, a good amount of client info beforehand, and peace of mind.
