I get a lot of questions about the color I use behind the chair, so let’s talk about it 🤍

I use O&M (Original & Mineral) hair color because it’s formulated with a more mindful approach to ingredients — avoiding many of the harsher additives commonly found in traditional color and focusing on ingredient transparency, performance, and scalp comfort.

That said, I want to be very clear and honest:
✨ Low-toxic color is still a chemical.
✨ Any hair color can cause a reaction.

Everyone’s body chemistry is different, and sensitivities can be influenced by things like stress, medications, hormones, or a compromised scalp barrier. Because of that, if you’ve ever had a sensitivity or reaction to color, I always recommend a patch test — even with “cleaner” or low-toxic formulas.

My goal is [[ n e v e r ]] to promise “risk-free,” but to:
• minimize unnecessary exposure
• prioritize ingredient transparency
• support overall scalp + hair health
• and make informed, empowered choices together

I became a holistic hairstylist when I realized the toxins in traditional hair care weren’t just damaging hair—they were affecting whole-body health. 💆‍♀️✨

One of my greatest joys as a hairstylist is getting to do your babies haircuts. I’ve watched tiny hands grow bigger, little voices deepen, and shy smiles turn into confident conversations. These moments are the soul of what I do, and I’m endlessly grateful to the families who’ve allowed me to grow alongside their children.
