Where do you see your own beauty reflected back to you by nature?

The Mexican sun cured me.

I experienced Puerto Vallarta as a city that required me to step out of my self-constructed brain prison.

The city communicated this requirement through ever present sounds of music, barking and chatter, smells and flavors full of texture, acidity and freshness, and unexpected conversations and greetings. My feet navigated uneven cobblestone, and climbed stairs that lead to views & breezes. And most importantly for me, the city gave me the charge of a forever shining sun that I *gratefully* couldn’t escape.

Sometimes I hold the key to my own brain jail. But sometimes I don’t. Sometimes it’s outside of me, and I can only get it back through new places, special people and adventures.

I’m grateful that this time, in all her kindness and wisdom, Mexico handed that key back to me, knowing that she was exactly what I needed 🫶🏻 🇲🇽
