It is so wild how our deepest thoughts become our very own reality. What a true testament to the mind-body connection I have been able to live & experience first hand.
I have been over 30 days nausea free & I have done yoga 6-7 days per week. Wait, what?
The last time I was able to do this was 6 years ago! I even had to modify during my second 200 yoga training program 2 yrs ago because doing yoga every day or twice a day (the requirements) were too strenuous on my body. We had to journal, lots, & re-reading-I was sick just about every. Single. Page.
I used to live in fear of the next time I would have delayed onset nausea from even a mild workout.
So my formula:
1. An intention. A positive affirmation. You live it, believe it, feel it. Repeat it. Over & over. Your body will not know the difference. It can be a word, a phrase, a mantra.
2. Who are u surrounding yourself with? You become most like the 5 ppl you surround yourself with. Literally.
Always drama? Always complaining? drinking?
Choose ppl that lift you up. That bring you to a higher vibration. I'm not saying do not sit with those who need u when they are in the dark. But...you know who I'm talking about-with some you must respectfully give them grace & love...but for now, choose you.
3. Intuitive eating. Mindful eating. Oh, Reading! (I.e.: get off your phone). I need to work on this ;)
4. Herbs! Supplements. Huge! More to follow.
5. Community β€οΈ studies show those connected live longer. A lot longer. I love this as I can get introverted due to my job & my deep love for my dog ππΆπ€π
6. Commit to a small new change or habit. Make it a non-negotiable. Yoga for me comes first. It's my medicine. If someone does not get that...they aren't meant to be in your life right now. Maybe, never.
7. Lastly, do your research. If you are suffering-it won't be forever. You are your very best advocate. Listen. Your body & mind tries to tell u things all the time, do u listen?
I try to spread knowledge of good providers to everyone I meet. Internal docs, gi, therapists, endocrinologist, shamins. S**t, I have done it all. Get a good team. Accept the diagnosis (maybe) but not the prognosis.

I love learning what other tricks other aesthetic providers are using outside of our Raleigh market. Plus-I get to see my friends, learn more yoga/holistic stuff & play in the Mtn's π

I left another doctors appt very discouraged....but I only stayed in that place for a small bit.
No discussion of alternative treatments. No discussion of what might be causing this. No recommendation on eating habits, supplements. Nothing :/ we can just wait.
& than what?
I suspect your condition will get worse. Your body has developed antibodies & it is attacking itself essentially.
Essentially? Essentially you want me wait. Wait until things get "worse" so that than you can prescribe me something that maybe will help??
I feel for providers, I really do! I am a provider. You get rushed, behind. Frustrated. & I completely understand that there are different schools of thought & such a wide spectrum of how we look at illness & even more vast-sometimes overwhelming at times but awesome... diverse treatment options.
Everyone is so different thought.
You can't treat us all the same.
With the incidence of cancer, diabetes, obesity & autoimmunity skyrocketing there has got to be some of us that will continue to fight for answers to the root causes of these often debilitating conditions. Many of which are invisible.
She asked me what I was doing to get inflammatory markers # down?
Herbs. Yoga. Mindset β€οΈ
Accept the diagnosis. NOT the prognosis people.
I will always keep on fighting for u all-helming spread awareness, & keepin it real. This s**t is not fun but damn, I think just about anything is possible these days ;)

Whilst he sleeps (with his tongue out), we got up at 5:30 to take sculpt at 6 with the one & only Fero!!
