When cleaning an irritated piercing, it is important to make sure that you’re using a sterile saline wound wash. Assuring that your piercing is completely dry is another important part of aftercare, as excess moisture can cause bacteria growth. Single use paper towels or non-woven gauze are a better option than Q-tips or cotton products that can leave behind fibers that can cause buildup and hold infectious bacteria. Avoid touching the area applying other products, as these can delay your healing process or have harsh effects that can change the outcome of how your piercing heals. Avoid applying pressure, excessive heat, and strenuous activity. As always, reach out to your piercer if you’re experiencing any concerns. ◡̈ **The piercing in this video is fully healed.
