“I’m fine.”

“I’m okay.”

“I’m good.”

This seems to be so quick and easy to say to someone when they ask,

“How are you?”

Are you saying this because you’re trying to convince yourself that everything is okay, or fine when it’s actually not? Do you not want to open up and show your vulnerable side?

Keeping things bottled up inside can be dangerous to your mental health. You don’t have to deal with things alone. There is someone that is willing to listen and extend a helping hand.

Life happens, everything is not always going to be fine or okay.

Course of action…

What’s fine and is ok is for you to be honest about how you feel and to ask for help. Allow yourself to be vulnerable. Allow your partner to be the person that you let in.

“I don’t need anyone.”

Sometimes, we make statements, declarations on our lives and relationships that we believe to be true.

The statement “I don’t need anyone” could not be further from truth. HE did not create us to live and exist alone.

Sometimes we may use Insulation and aloneness as safety bars, & protection mechanisms, but really, it’s a trauma response. It’s a response to the fear of being vulnerable, fear of being hurt, fear of disappointment by another person.

God did not create us to exist without “anybody” but he also did not create us to live in the spirit of fear.

Step into the fear. Take off the cloak of isolation. Walk in the strength of vulnerability. Don’t let your past traumas dictate the path of your future happiness.

Flashbacks, emotions, disturb, reactions.
Are you allowing trauma responses to navigate your unpredictable reactions or emotions?

Speak the favorable conditions required for your happiness.
