I’m a behind-the-chair hairstylist + educator who truly believes hair is never just hair. It’s confidence. It’s identity. It’s therapy with foils.

Your hair is my billboard & I take my job as a backup therapist very seriously 🥸

In my chair you can expect👇

Whew 2025 did me dirtttttyyyy 😅 while healing me at the same.damn.time.

Let’s start with what killed me:

My husband being laid off- gut punch. In between in worked at a car dealership & those hours almost killed me. But he ultimately ended up at a company he loves, with more opportunity than we could have imagined.

Our summer series flopping- This summer we decided we really wanted to offer a series of affordable classes for local stylists to come attend, learn, and grow together. Most classes only our team showed up. Sometimes, even the stylist who snagged free tickets didn’t show. This really hurt my little do-good heart, but I’m very proud of the classes we put together. I still want to collab with the local Raleigh hair community. I’m really hoping 2026 opens those minds and doors.

Mom guilt- I don’t think this ever goes away. It’s haunting. Still one of the top conversations for me in therapy. I’d love to know how some of my other mom followers handle this?

Now for what healed me:

Having the opportunity to spend days with one of my idols , was top of the list for me. The intentional planning, yoga, and conversations truly healed me.

Using systems & getting organized healed my mind- Yeah never thought I’d say that either.

& finally the thing that just hit me…..

We raised some amazing baby stylists in this year. Each of them taught me something new about leadership and mentorship. Being able to be the support I didn’t have means the world to me.

So 2025 wasn’t all butterflies and rainbows 🌈. It was work in the trenches that didn’t have a whole lot of applause.

BUT

I’m choosing to believe 2025 was the year of building the foundation.

2026 is the year for all the hard work done in the dark to come to light. 💡
