I’ve gotten the “breast milk soap is weird/gross” comment enough times that I wanted to say this:
People use goat milk and other animal milk soaps all the time without questioning it. But a mom using her own milk to make a gentle soap for herself or her baby is somehow “weird”? We all don’t have to agree on things, but I needed to at least share this perspective. Have a great Tuesday, everyone! 🤍

A little note about my relationship with social media: I’ll always love creating, sharing, and connecting here, but I also believe in stepping back when needed and protecting the parts of life that keep me inspired, grounded, and mentally healthy.
It is SO important to listen to yourself and honor what you need…even if that means slowing down, unplugging for a while, resting more, creating in private, or just simply allowing yourself the chance to breathe.

I’ve had a lot of new faces here lately after my breast milk soap post, so I thought I’d explain what it actually is.
Breast milk soap is a custom soap made using a mother’s own milk for her own family. The milk replaces the water in the soap recipe, creating a bar that’s gentle and incredibly personal.
But what surprises people most isn’t the ingredients…it’s the meaning behind it.
For many moms, it becomes a way to somewhat preserve a small piece of their breastfeeding journey in a tangible form.
And honestly… packaging these always feels like wrapping something sacred.

If you’ve never heard of breast milk soap before, I’m curious: was this your first time learning about it?
I used to say I’d *never* set up a vending booth.
I told myself it just wasn’t “me” (but really, the idea was terrifying 😂). This year though, I decided I’m done hiding in my comfort zone because the stagnancy is real there.
Growth is straight up uncomfortable!!! It feels vulnerable and uncertain but it’s stepping forward anyway. So here I am.
