Unfortunately, she wasn’t happy with the results and eventually had to go through the difficult process of laser removal just to lighten the previous SMP enough to have it corrected.

Natural doesn’t mean perfect… it means believable. 👌
This gentleman came to us wanting a soft, mature, naturally receding hairline that would blend seamlessly with his gray hair. He also had some previous SMP along the hairline that had become discolored, blotchy, and uneven over time.
Our goal wasn’t to give him a hairline that looked too young or too sharp. We created something that fit his age, hair color, and natural pattern, while carefully camouflaging the old work underneath.
The result: a softer, cleaner, more natural-looking hairline that looks like it belongs to him. 💯
Good SMP shouldn’t scream “SMP”… it should simply look like hair.

This client previously had SMP performed by someone in the hair restoration industry who claimed to specialize in the procedure. Unfortunately, many of the impressions were placed too deep, causing blowouts and migration where the dots began blending together instead of resembling natural hair follicles.
Now it’s my job to see what we can do to soften the previous work, create a more natural appearance, and get this client feeling confident again. 🙏🏽
SMP is more than simply putting dots on a scalp. Depth, pressure, pigment, needle selection, spacing, and technique ALL matter.
Do your research. Look closely at healed results. And make sure the artist you choose has the proper training and experience specifically in Scalp Micropigmentation.
Corrections are always harder than starting with a clean canvas — but we’re going to do everything we can to GET HER RIGHT. 💯

This isn’t about bashing tattoo artists — tattooing is an incredible skill and art of its own. But Scalp Micropigmentation is a specialized technique that requires specific training, proper equipment, pigment knowledge, depth control, hairline design, and most importantly, experience.
