Out in the world a lot of times I am off in la la land, and in my studio majority of the time I can be myself.

Girl, I get it sometimes things slip our minds. However, exfoliating is important. So if you know you're not going to remember or you're not going to go to the store right away just pick up a scrub from me. I have three different ones in stock and I have exfoliating mitts.

Don’t get caught with ingrowns just because you didn't go and grab what you needed.

Your first wax is always the worst. Don't base the rest of your experience off that first time. It does get easier more so in the sense that you know what's coming, and your hair gets thinner and finer. The thinner the hair root is the less pain. I'm not saying that there's not going to be any pain because that's unrealistic, but the more consistent you are the thinner the root is, the less pain happens when the hair is pulled out.

Exfoliating and moisturizing helps with the pain also.

Just know majority of the time my phone is always in my hand. However, strange phone numbers that call me will get a follow-up text message because I'm nervous to answer. Too many weirdos calling with fake calls. So if you try to call to book an appointment, I'll shoot you a text message right away just to make sure you're a real person.

I always hear I hate to see you coming in but I love to see you when I'm leaving.

Walking into your appointment isn't always easy because you let your nerves get the best of you. you know it's not going to be that bad but there's still that little voice in the back of your head that tells you it's going to hurt.

I let you know from the very get-go that I am going to talk a lot and it is for a distraction.

I know you are having a hard time focusing on what I'm saying but that's part of the distraction. You're trying to pay attention to what is coming out of my mouth as I am pulling the strips. It doesn't always help but most of the time it does to a certain extent. Just know I'm not doing it because I don't care about what you're going through. I absolutely do! I do it to myself & I've been on the opposite end of the table and it's not always easy so I try to make it as easy as I can.

There's always going to be wild comments made about waxing. Hell there's always comments made about everything.

Just do what is right for you. If you get ingrowns and irritation from shaving why do it? Find a better solution. You don't have to suffer because someone says they "could never"

Waxing for real smooth skin takes consistency. The first couple times is getting each growth cycle. So you're not getting good results until the 4th or maybe even the fifth time if you're doing aftercare.

And I'm not saying if you only wax to go on a vacation that you're not going to get smooth. There's just other things that go into it that determine if you're going to get a good wax versus a lot of breakage and comparing it to somebody who waxes consistently every four weeks is just not a good comparison.
