LOCATION CHANGE THIS WEEK!!!
Thursday we will be at WSDCA as usual.
There will be clothing vouchers for those that shower!!
FRIDAY.... we will not be at Emmanuel Episcopal Church of Rapid City SD as they have an event.
So we have shifted to Trinity Lutheran Church from 9-11 AM!!!
The same volunteers and services will be available, just at a different location!!!
Be there.
Shower.
Bring a treat.
Visit.

SEPTEMBER SCHEDULE!!!!!
9/10 and 9/24 we will be at WSDCA from 9-11.
WSDCA Thrift Store gives a $5 clothing voucher to those who shower.
9/11 and 9/25 we will be at Emmanuel Episcopal Church of Rapid City SD from 9-11.
9/15 we will be at Breadroot Natural Foods Co-op from 10-12.
9/17 we will be at Knollwood Heights United Methodist Church from 9-11.
9/29 we will be at the Community Connect at the Central States Fairground from 10-4.
There will be food trucks and tons of free clothes inside the Fine Arts Building!!
We will always have hygiene kits for you.
We will always have underwear, socks and bras.
We will always have women hygiene.
We will post the night before if haircuts will be available.
Come and shower.

Yesterday, as we were doing showers, which by the way..... we showered 15 humans.... KOTA showed up to do an interview.
I'm not great at interview, and I sure wasn't ready for one, but we all got through it!
We showered 15.
We gave away around 40 hygiene kits and about the same number of underwears and socks!!
Also.... the amazing Mary Wood brought all the fixin's for banana splits.... because it was National Banana Split day!!!
About 30 humans were treated to banana splits.
They all commented on how long it's been since they had one.
Heck.... it's been a long time for me as well!!
Come and spend time with us.
It helps the heart.
I promise.
Showers tomorrow (Thurs 8/27) at Knollwood Heights United Methodist Church 9-11.
Remember... to shower you cannot be under the influence or we have the right to refuse you a shower.
You'll still get a hygiene kit and undergarments. You just won't get a shower.
Rumor also has it that Home Ministries will be there cutting hair!!!!

Showered With Hope brings hot showers to Rapid City residents in need Breadroot Natural Food Co-Op and Showered with Hope team up in Rapid City to provide warm clothes, hot showers, and dignity to those in need.

We had an amazing day today!
We gave 3 meaningful showers and had some great conversations.
Home Ministries was there and gave 3 salon quality haircuts to some beautiful men!!
WSDCA Thrift Store gave out $5 clothing vouchers to our guests which allowed them to purchase some clothing.
We ask our guests to not buy socks or underwear there..... buy another shirt or pair of jeans.... we have more socks to give!!
We couldn't do this without your support!
We dang sure couldn't do it without the amazing volunteers.
We are thankful for the opportunity to use a little bit of a parking lot to be able to... "wash feet".

Second-hand wardrobe day is Tuesday, August 25th, so your Co-op will be hosting a Donation Drive to benefit not one, but TWO local organizations: Showered with Hope and Call to Freedom SD! PLUS! All donors will be entered into an exclusive giveaway.

We will be accepting new, or gently used clean clothing, new in package undergarments, socks, feminine hygiene products, sunscreen, and chapstick to benefit our neighbors!

So, I stopped off to trade in dirty towels for clean ones this morning at Serv-All.
They had no towels!!!
Rally has run them out of towels!
I'm not do***ng on them because I love them and their willingness to keep us stocked up with clean towels.
We appreciate them so much!!
Rally happens though!!
Luckily....... we have towels that you have donated since the beginning.
New towels.
Thick, plush towels even.
Today..... we had 10 guests shower!!
We gave them the towels that they used... to keep.
We take for granted what a luxury it is to have a towel.
So today.... 10 showers..... 14 hygiene kits that include wash cloths!
2 humans had the luxury of having their nails painted by Mary!!

This morning as I was going through totes looking for underwear.... I couldn't find very many.
Somehow..... I've let us run out of men's boxers!!!!
All sizes are needed.
Boxers are the most asked for!!
Can you help??
We have drop boxes at Fairmont Diner, Fairmont Diner Too, and Rices Motorsports!!
You can also drop them off at any shower event!!
