When you join this practice, you start to notice small shifts…
You’re not holding your breath all day.
Your shoulders drop without you forcing them.

This is nervous system work.

When we operate from pressure or “I have to,” the body shifts into a stress response. When we lead with care and choice, we support nervous system regulation and recovery.
Research shows we’re actually more consistent and resilient when our habits are driven by self-compassion, not force.

Diaphragmatic breathing ( low belly inhale ) during your facial tells your nervous system that all is well. This elicits the relaxation response, the rest + digest, parasympathetic response.
As your breath deepens, circulation improves, delivering more oxygen and nutrients to the skin while supporting our immune system and detox pathways like the lymphatic system.
Relaxation is not fluff and buff. It counteracts the harmful effects of stress and increases resiliency.

When our attention stays focused on what we don’t want, the brain reinforces stress pathways, increasing cortisol and keeping the body in a reactive state.
But when we intentionally return our focus to what we do want, we activate the prefrontal cortex, the part of the brain responsible for decision-making, awareness, and regulating emotional responses.
This helps shift the body out of stress response and into the relaxation response.
Over time, this builds emotional flexibility, reduces overwhelm, and increases our capacity to respond rather than react. This is resiliency practiced moment by moment, thought by thought.

We keep our yoga simple.
We practice LIVE on Zoom throughout the week.
Some members join Live. Some wait for the class recordings via email and others take classes from our on demand library.

Non UV Blue light is one of the tools I use in my facials for acneic skin. It mainly kills acne-causing bacteria and reduces inflammation, which can lead to fewer breakouts and less redness.
