Real Nail Shop philosophy promotes the health and wellness of natural nails, as well as our patrons and staff through reduced exposure and fine nail care.

Our whole care approach includes a strong basic philosophy of sanitation and sterilization, the belief in eliminating unnecessary damage to the nail plate and cuticle and that a nail salon is an unneeded source of chemical exposure, therefore only using naturally derived oils and scrubs as well as toxin free nail lacquer finish. Our strong ethics, cozy atmosphere and decades of experience make the Real Nail Shop a refreshing choice in fine nail care.

Dear Community,

I want to express my deepest appreciation for nearly 10 years in the Reading community. As many of you know, in early 2020, I returned to school to pursue my lifelong love of poetry & writing. Consequently, I completed both a BA and MA in English and now have a side hustle teaching at SSU. Suddenly I find my path leads elsewhere. It was a difficult decision to make, but after 33 years as a manicurist, I’ve decided to close my shop and shift careers. I’ll miss my little corner store, unlocking the door and flipping the sign to open, but most of all, I’ll miss my clientele—the wonderful women that really taught me everything I know. ❤️ Thank you!
