Hello, my name is Leah. I was born and raised in Kokomo, Indiana. I have been a hairstylist for 35 years and love it! 
I started my career in Bloomington, Indiana, and have worked in Seattle and Boston. I have resided in Reading for the last 19 years. I’ve raised my children in the town of Reading and I love living in Reading.

I like to keep my carbon footprint as small as possible.

I love to be in nature as much as I can. Nature is one thing that inspires me the most with hair color and the natural textures. I like seeing the different colors melding, molding, and blending, creating a soft natural look.

In my career, I have worked in a very large salons, traveled with hair shows, worked backstage and have styled for photo shoots. I’ve also worked with brides and their wedding parties, prom hair and special events. I’ve been in the business 35 years and have learned a lot about myself; I prefer a smaller, intimate salon setting.

I very much enjoy being a hairstylist, friend and confidante for all who choose me as their stylist. I am very passionate about expressing my talent through helping them achieve their desired results. I was raised in a salon (my mother was a beautician, hairdresser and stylist for 55 years). It’s just part of me and I like to share my expertise with anyone that will listen LOL.

Momma. Mary Jo. Mom.

The names I used to call her, but what is behind those names?

Momma: the endearing, sweet, beautiful, thoughtful, caring, loving, stylish, cuddly, wonderful, creative person for whom I have an amazing amount of respect.. She taught me how to be a fair, kind, accepting person.

Mary Jo: the woman that was focused on a task and that had her “mom ears” turned off.

Mom: the courageous human who always tried her best and succeeded at pretty much whatever she faced- whether it was a household project, garden/landscape project or following/creating a new recipe. Nothing was wasted, every material was saved, every bowl was scraped clean. Her determination and focus was to get things done well with accuracy and with a creative twist. She took much pride in. I cherish the ideals she lived by and we learned.

Did she always agree with my actions, absolutely not.
Did she always make sure I knew she loved me, absolutely yes.
Will she be forever in my heart and soul, that would an ABSOLUTELY yes.

She always describe things around her as “wonderful,” whether it was a sunset, a meal or a squirrel. Every-time I would hear her say this word it reminded me how wonderful she is ❤️.
