Meet the Founder of Hippotanicals 🌿💚
For Dr. Ann, it started with a personal experience.
She developed rashes around her face and tried different medications, but they didn’t seem to go away.
Eventually, she discovered that she was having an allergic reaction to a store-bought lip balm with an extensive list of ingredients.
So she decided to make her own. 💚
And as she changed what she was using, her skin cleared up.
That experience changed the way she looked at personal care and became part of the inspiration behind Hippotanicals.
Sometimes, the best ideas start with a problem you experience yourself. 🌿
And that’s where our story began.

I’m incredibly grateful to WBEC-Pacific WBEC-Pacific for this opportunity and recognition. It was an honor to pitch alongside such an inspiring group of women business owners at the Regional Pitch Showcase.
Hippotanicals started with a simple idea: that everyday personal care could be made with fewer ingredients, less waste, and greater intention. Seeing that vision recognized and having the opportunity to take it to the national stage means so much.

Before there was Hippotanicals , there was Happi Hippo. 🦛🌿
Our brand has changed quite a bit over the years, from our original name and packaging to the look and feel of Hippotanicals today.
As we grew, we wanted our branding to grow with us. We refreshed our packaging, evolved our identity, and created a brand that better reflects what we stand for today.
But while the name and look changed, our heart stayed the same. 💚
